Background
The Radical Therapist Network was founded in 2020 to bring together therapists who are dedicated to anti-oppression. Members worked collaboratively to deliver support groups, peer supervision groups, reading groups and regular community meetings with the aim to challenge harm, re-distribute wealth, unlearn oppressive beliefs and practices, access healing and solidarity spaces, as well as dismantle white supremacy through dedicated anti-racist programmes.
After registering as Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2022 RTN placed Memberships on hold to focus on creating an organisational infrastructure that aligned with its values and aims. We are thrilled to finally announce the re-opening of RTN Memberships and the launch of our Hedge School.
About
Now, we invite therapists, allied health professionals, community & cultural workers, and individuals who are committed to anti-oppression to join us in transforming therapy and health/care systems using abolitionist, healing justice, decolonial and anti-oppressive methodologies. A central site for transformation will take place in our Hedge School where we teach political education in the Classroom, rehearse mutual aid strategies in the Playground, and offer healing justice aligned resources in the Community Clinic- all led by and for global majority and oppressed peoples.
Become a Member to access our internal learning and support spaces, join our directory, get early access to Hedge School programmes, freely access our Community Clinic, and be a part of the development of alternative care models for collective healing and liberation.
