Psychotherapy with Survivors of Sexual Violence: Book Launch & Workshop

Join us for an interactive workshop with space for discussion, reflections and a Q&A. You will also be entered into our raffle to win a free copy of the book upon purchasing a ticket.

As sexual violence is a prolific societal issue, we will consider the psychotherapist’s social responsibility which extends well outside of the rooms in which we see clients.

This includes learning concepts from Erene’s new book Psychotherapy with Survivors of Sexual Violence, including:

  • Sexual violence in context of societal systems

  • The three freedoms of psychotherapy: using an empowerment-based perspective

  • Psychotherapy as activism

  • Self and collective care.

Sexual violence will be discussed using gender-neutral terms, knowing anyone can be affected. Various types of sexual violence may be referred to for the purposes of shared discussion and reflection, but not described in any detail.

Tickets are now available on Eventbrite.
