You can apply to join RTN if you meet all of the following criteria:
You are a qualified counsellor, psychologist, psychotherapist or arts therapist.
You are a registered member of a professional body such as UKCP, BACP, HCPC, NCS or other relevant professional body.
You trained and qualified in Counselling or Psychotherapy at level 4, or above, or trained at MA or MSc level.
You trained and qualified with a validated course internationally and are licensed and/or registered with a membership body in the country that you reside in.

You can apply to join RTN as a student if you meet all of the following criteria:
You are attending a UKCP, BACP, NCS or other relevant validated course and registered as a student member with that body.
You are attending a HCPC accredited training institution studying at MA or MSc level for a minimum of two years full time, or three years part time, or more.
You are training in Counselling or Psychotherapy at level 4, or above. Your course must include at least one year full time, or two years part-time tuition and a supervised placement of a minimum of 100 client hours, as per course requirements.
You are undertaking a validated course internationally with the equivalent training requirements and be registered with a membership body.

We review applications once a month to support sustainable community practice. We will respond within 4 weeks to let you know whether or not you have been successful in your application.

We only accept annual payments at this time to minimise the labour offered by Members who support this process.

Absolutely and we appreciate people’s honesty in letting us know that their circumstances have changed as our work is grounded in our values and mutual trust. Please get in touch by email and we can arrange to change your annual payment sum.

Yes, absolutely. We have carefully developed a tiered membership scale that takes into account people’s individual circumstances, as well as the differing ways that people are impacted by, or benefit from, the systems and structures that we live within.
