Accessibility

    • We all have access needs. We understand that these may vary, change over time and may conflict with other people’s access needs within the spaces we share.

    • RTN works within a disability justice framework to support access for all of our Members, staff and guests, especially those of us who are chronically ill, disabled and neurodivergent.

    • For written information (not on the website) we provide audio versions where possible and upon request.

    • We welcome your feedback and honour your generosity of labour within this process.

    • All of our Zoom meetings have closed captions enabled.

    • We request information about your access needs in; application forms, to sign-up to support groups, community meetings, learning groups and events.

    • Your written access information is confidential.

    • BSL Interpreters are booked upon request.

    • To support further accessibility a Member of the Application Team can arrange a phone call or zoom meeting and go through the questions together and type your answers. If this alternative method would suit you better please contact us.

    • Please download the application pack and complete in your own time. You do not need to be worried about spelling, grammar or word count.

    • The access information you provide will not affect your application and is confidential.

    • We have intentionally designed the sliding scale fees for Membership and paying events to take into consideration individual's positionality based upon the impacts of systemic oppression, and how systems and white supremacist culture affords certain people power and economic privilege depending on their identity and lived experience.

    • With thanks to Andro & Eve for providing the initial inspiration for sliding scale fee model based upon the Green Bottle Sliding Scale by Alexis J. Cunningfolk.

    • We are in the process of applying for funding to make paying more financially accessible to everyone.
