Objectives

  • Learning Spaces

We will hold regular online events, workshops and spaces relating to anti-oppressive and radical therapeutic practice.

  • Reflective Spaces

We will hold an ongoing reflective space for marginalised therapists, as well as hold spaces for therapists from privileged groups in order to process, sit with discomfort and unlearn oppressive practice.

  • Ethical Framework

We will develop and work within an RTN ethical framework that underpins our anti-oppressive therapeutic praxis (which aims to go above and beyond current registered bodies code of ethics and practice).

  • Redistribution of Wealth

We will create a system for redistribution of white wealth by utilising the financial, time and educational assets of the privileged members of the Network.

  • QTIBIPOC Therapy Fund

We will set up a QTIBIPOC Therapy fund in which financially privileged white therapists contribute through the event ticketing system. To use this fund to offer free therapy to QTIBIPOC clients and pay Black and Brown, queer and trans therapists within the network.

  • Community

We will build a supportive community of like-minded therapists built on transparency, trust, accountability and anti-hierarchy. We will do this by offering regular meetings, learning spaces, healing spaces, reading groups, supervision or spaces that feel appropriate to the needs of the Network.

  • Sharing Resources

We will offer educational resources and accessible tools in relation to anti-oppressive practice.

  • Platforming & De-centring

We will platform knowledge, lived experience and practices offered by marginalised groups and de-centre white, colonial and eurocentric ideas of what healing, therapy, and learning looks like.
